<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Stanley Street Quarter Community Interest Company (CIC) organised a stunning Three Queens Ball to open the weekend\u2019s celebrations on Friday 22nd May and raised over \u00a33,000 for local charity, The Michael Causer Foundation, which supports Merseyside\u2019s lesbian, gay, bisexual & transgender (LGBT) community.
The Ball, hosted in the magnificent surroundings of the atrium of Exchange Station, Tithebarn Street and catered by the wonderful Delifonseca, was a sell-out with over 200 guests glammed up to the event\u2019s \u201cCaptains Table, Sequins and Bellboy Chic\u201d dress code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hosted by Ru Paul\u2019s UK Drag Ambassador finalist The Vivienne and superb entertainment provided by the legendary House of Suarez, creators of the vogue ball, duo Charlie and Michael Causer Foundation’s Out on Stage 2015 winner, Shamona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Lord Mayor and Chair of the Michael Causer Foundation, Gary Millar says “A sincere thank you to the Stanley Street Quarter and their directors for giving us the opportunity to be their chosen charity on what was a magical and wonderful night.”
“It gave us an opportunity to speak about reducing hate crime and to ask guests to become MCF ambassadors to support Michael’s legacy by becoming one of “Michael’s Mates”.
Gary also led the evening’s auction taking the amount raised to over \u00a33100. The Stanley Street Quarter CIC was established in 2013 to The Stanley Street Quarter CIC is the not for profit company set up in 2013 to bring together and develop the area around the city\u2019s economic LGBT heart. Recognised as the world\u2019s first official LGBT Quarter the CIC aims to create a modern destination to live, work and enjoy where the city\u2019s LGBT community can be celebrated and feel safe.
The Michael Causer Foundation supports victims of LGBT hate crime and seeks to educate, motivate and accommodate vulnerable LGBT people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The Foundation was launched in memory of gay teenager Michael Causer, aged 18, from Whiston, who was brutally attacked simply for being gay at a house party in 2008, never recovered from his injuries and died on 2nd August 2008.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
